New Bus Service for Lalbert

The Southern Mallee Transport Connections Partnership (SMTCP) has formed a partnership with the Department of Transport, and the Swan Hill Bus Lines in order to develop a new bus service to Swan Hill.  

The Department of Transport has funded a trial bus service between Wycheproof / Lalbert and Swan Hill, so that people can connect with health care, and specialist shops and services that are not available in their own community. 

The bus service will run every 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, and is open to the whole community.

The Swan Hill Bus Lines will provide the new service with their 21 seater bus, and have agreed to subsidize the fare for the first two months, so that everyone can travel at the standard concession rate.  

Mr Peter Walsh MP (Member for Swan Hill) officially launched the new bus service on the 9th of July, 2009 and he urged everyone to use the new service whenever they can, in order to ensure that it continues well into the future.
